There was no phone number for the garden but I found a phone number for the church, St. Anne’s and called right away and they told me that as soon as the time comes, a sign would be put out and the garden would be open. The Mountain Daffodil Garden is only open for three weeks every year. It’s tucked away in the mountains and as soon as the snow melts the garden is open for the public to view.

When researching the garden I found out that one woman had started planting the daffodils in 1958 and since then over 1,000,000 bulbs have been planted by her. What was even more fascinating to me is that each flower is in good condition for only a few weeks. So every year for a few short weeks in the spring, the Bauer’s open this magical garden for the public to view. I imagined what this garden would be like for weeks, and then last week I had the pleasure of visiting not once, but twice and it was unbelievable.

It was a lovely drive up there and the weather was just beautiful. The garden is not visible from the road, but after you turn into the church parking lot of St. Anne’s you see the sign for the garden and you know you’re only a few steps away from paradise. As I took my first steps down the path, what I saw was breathtaking.

This mountainside had been transformed into Daffodil Heaven. Each and every step I took was filled with wonder and delight. Beautiful daffodils of yellow, gold, and white, each planted with love by one woman who has created the most magnificent gift that she shares with us for a few weeks each and every year.

I couldn’t help thinking about this woman who the locals say is in her seventies now, and I wonder if she knew when she first started that she would create something so spectacular that would bring visitors here for 49 years now. I learned that although a fire destroyed her home several years ago, no fire or anything else could stand in the way of this magical garden.

They say she still tends to her garden and I close my eyes and try to imagine a fairy sprinkling magic fairy dust across the mountain, but I know in my heart there is no fairy. There is only one woman whose magic touch has the power to wake the daffodils from a long winters sleep. I imagine the love a mother has for her child and I know only a mothers love for her garden has the power to wake the daffodils from their sleep. And for a few short weeks her daffodils open up and smile for the world to see.

I took as many photos as I could so I could capture this beautiful garden and so that I would remember the important lessons I learned that day. I know everyone who visits will take away something special as I have. For me, I realized that this woman had a vision of what she wanted to create and she created something that will be remembered forever.

I know that with each and every bulb she planted, she had no guarantee of what would be, but she had faith in what she wasn’t able to see, and she believed in her heart and soul that her garden would flourish. The fact that she envisioned something so divine and continued to do so each and every year is amazing to me. She was not limited by anything and because of that over 1,000,000 bulbs have been planted by her.

I know we each have the opportunity to plant our own seeds each and every day. But it is the kind of seeds we plant which will determine the kind of life we have. If we plant seeds of fear, worry, anger, and sadness, then we will certainly grow those things in our garden.

But if we can make the decision to plant seeds of happiness, love, joy, and excitement, then I believe we can have our own Daffodil Heaven. I think if we can believe in our dreams and if we can see that magnificent garden of our choice, there isn’t anything we cannot be, do or have for our life. If we continue to plant seeds each and everyday knowing that they will grow and become what we have dreamed of, then we will indeed create our own heaven each and everyday. I know now more then ever that anything is possible if you believe.

And last but not least, I have something very special to share with you called the ultimate gift. On Friday I decided to buy the paper which I haven’t done is several weeks and I am so glad that I did. Now don’t get me wrong, my not buying it has nothing to do with not wanting to know what’s going on in the world, it’s just that sometimes it seems the newspaper is filled with so many negative things and not as many positive things. I decided to check out the movie section, and again I have not been to the movies in some time, but I decided to see what might spark an interest.

I came across a write up on a movie called The Ultimate Gift and as I read it, I realized I had seen this book many years ago while sitting in the pharmacy waiting for a prescription. I remember I had read a few pages, but never bought the book and had forgotten all about it. When I read the write up I was so excited because of the story. It’s the story of Jason who is a trust fund baby and when his wealthy grandfather dies, he as well as many of the members of the family, expect a big inheritance. What he finds out though is that his grandfather is offering him twelve gifts that are designed to challenge him and those twelve gifts send him on a journey of self –discovery and force him to determine what is most important in life. Money or happiness.

I knew by reading about it that it was going to be one of the greatest inspirational films, and was surprised that I had never seen anything on the television about it. Here was a movie that I was sure would change lives and I wondered why nobody was talking about it. But I knew even before I saw it, that I would talk about it and tell everyone I knew. So I made plans with a friend to see it today, but I was so excited that I had to go and see it Saturday, and figured I would go again with my friend. I Knew I would love it.

It really came at a time for me when I most needed it. You see the past few weeks I have been going back and forth with some questions in my mind about the path I’m on, and like some of us do at times, I was second guessing myself. I get so excited sometimes and want to do so many things, and sometimes I’m not sure which things I should and shouldn’t do. I want to touch as many lives as I can, and honestly sometimes I wonder to myself, what other ways can I touch lives?

This movie certainly brought things in perspective for me. The twelve gifts in the movie are only the beginning of the many gifts I believe we have in life, and I know sometimes we get so busy in our day to day lives that we forget about some of those gifts. At least I know I do. It reminded me of how I felt when I discovered I could write inspirational stories and poems and how excited I felt about my words touching someone’s life. I had forgotten all about how I used to send out inspirational cards and messages to people I didn’t know and as I watched this film, I knew that I needed to start doing that again.

I have faced adversity in my life with chronic illness and because of that, I received the gift of writing and for some reason, I had put that gift away. I believe we are all given amazing gifts and talents and I think it’s our job to discover them and share them with the world.

So I have decided that I am going to start sharing my gift again, and I want to invite you to do the same. There are so many things that we can do to brighten the day for someone and maybe, just maybe, we can change lives. I know that in the work each of you do, you do change lives, but I wonder if we can do more. One of the gifts in the movie is the gift of a perfect day, and I would sure love to be able to contribute to someone’s perfect day.

I’m sorry this is so long but I just want all of you to know about this movie and I hope you all go and see it and tell everyone you know about it. I know this movie will change lives and I hope it will change lives and inspire everyone as it has me. As for me, I’m going to start sending out inspirational messages at random via email, snail mail, and any other way I can. But I also want to add to my message by asking that person to pay it forward. I’m sure most of you have seen that movie and I’m hoping to get the idea going again. I know there are so many ways we can touch lives with random acts of kindness, or even acts of kindness to someone we know.

I would love to hear your ideas and if you would like, I will add a page to my site for Divine Gifts, where we can mention our gifts that we have given. Not for the sake of stating these for recognition, but just a place where we can see how far we can go and how many lives we can touch, and all the creative ways we find to do so. I have so many ideas, and I know you will as well and I hope we can change lives all over the world.

I sat down and came up with ten questions about career, success, inspiration, and life lessons, to ask women of all ages and all walks of life that I thought would really give insight and inspiration to other women. I have met so many women over the years who were great women but many of them didn’t have enough confidence or self esteem in themselves to create the life they wanted. On the outside they seemed to have everything going for them but in conversations with these women, I realized that they didn’t believe in themselves enough to go for the gold, reach for the stars, and live the life of their dreams.

I’m no expert, but I have always tried to encourage women in any way that I could, but I also know that I alone can only do so much. So one month ago today, I started sending out emails for my Divine Diva Interviews. The response has been fabulous, and each and every interview is such a divine gift not only for the readers, but for me as well. For these women to open up and answer these questions giving us a glimpse into their lives is absolutely priceless.

I have admired some of these women for many years and would have never imagined our paths would cross. I have learned so much from them and I hope every woman who reads these interviews will not only be inspired, but realize that we all have the power to become who we are meant to be. I believe we all have amazing gifts and talents and it’s our job to discover them and share them with the world. Now I’m not saying it’s always easy to find them, but if you take the time to look inside, I believe you will find them.

I want to thank each and every woman from the bottom of my heart, who as taken the time to be a part of my Divine Diva Interviews. You inspire me to be a better woman and to each and every writer I have interviewed, you inspire me to work on writing more. I love writing and keep putting it off for one reason or another, but I am no longer going to do that, and for that I thank you.

These are just a few fears that women have and although these might not be things that you fear, the fear is very real for others. Many women today face different fears in their lives and sometimes that fear holds them back from an amazing life. When you focus on your fear day after day, it gives fuel to the fire, and when you can’t get pass the fire, you become stuck. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Let’s take one fear at a time and make a different choice about how to get over it.

We all have dreams and goals and although we may be grown up now, those dreams and goals still hold a place in our hearts. You feel them now and then tugging at your heart strings trying to get your attention, but you’re not sure what to do? The good news is that it’s never too late to live the life you have always dreamed of. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have your own personal cheer leader.

On the day of my birthday I walked into my office which was decorated and to my surprise, my co-workers were waiting for me and they started singing Happy Birthday to me the minute I walked in the door. As soon as they finished singing to me, it was time to open the gifts. As I opened each one, I realized how special it was that each person took the time to present me with something that really was unique to me. My boss gave me these great big slippers that vibrate and massage the feet and the card she gave me had the most adorable glam girl on the front with a little cat beside her, and inside it said Happy Diva Day. As I opened each gift and card I was so touched because they all knew me so well and I knew they really took the time to pick out these special gifts for me. From the picture frame, coupons for my favorite lunch, beautiful cards, and the Happy Birthday the owner of the company wrote on my check, I cherish each and every one.

There was one gift though that touched me in more ways then one. That gift was from my friend who works side by side with me and when I opened it, I was almost speechless. As you all know I had written about the Diva Dream Box and had told you that I am not very good at making things like that, and how it was easier for me just to go and buy a decorated box. My friend had designed my Diva Dream Box and it was beautiful. It was my favorite color which is purple and had little flowers and sequins all around it, and on the top it said My Dream Box. I was so amazed that she sat down and took the time to make this special box for me and that wasn’t all. She told me to open the box and when I did there was a container of little sheets of paper to write down all of my dreams and she had started by writing down the first dream for me.

It read "My Dreams For You" One day looking upon your face filled with happiness and contentment……filled with the success of reaching your every hearts desire. I know that you will attain every dream because of the positive force that is naturally you! Thank you for all of the wonderful things you have infused into my life. I thank God for the chance to have you touch my life!!! I wish only success and happiness in all of your endeavors.

Knowing that she not only took the time to make my special Diva Dream Box come to life but also putting that special dream for me into my box is something that I will never forget and I will treasure for the rest of my life. All of these things have reminded me of how many things I have to be grateful for. This week so many great things happened and it really reminded me that I need to start writing them down. I want to remember each and everyday the blessings I receive, so I'm going to make a Diva Gratitude Box.

I think it’s important to not only write down our goals and dreams, but to also write down what we are grateful for. I think we get so busy each day and I know on those days when things aren’t going so well, we tend to forget about what we have to be grateful for. I want The Diva Gratitude Box to be a place where we can write down and remember those blessings we receive each and everyday. I'm going to put my Diva Dream Box next to my Diva Gratitude Box so I can deposit into them everyday. I think it will also work well with the Diva Dream Box because as our dreams come true, we can write that down and deposit them into the Diva Gratitude Box.

These boxes are going to play a very important role in our lives. They represent our dreams, goals, and all of the blessings that we will receive in our lives. We are all meant to fulfill our dreams and I believe your destiny is waiting for you. If we let the universe know we are grateful for what we receive and keep reaching for our dreams, they will happen. I’ve given you some instructions for writing your goals and dreams on index cards which are great to carry with you each day, but I also want to give you a fun, creative idea that you can do at home. This will work if you’re great at writing down your goals and dreams, or if you’re more of a visual person, pictures can be used as well. The Diva Dream Box can work with either one or a combination of both.

The first thing I want you to do is go shopping for your Diva Dream Box. That’s right, I’m telling you to go shopping and I know it will be torture for you. Just kidding. If you’re feeling creative you can go to your local craft store and grab an unfinished box to decorate yourself. I’m much better at writing so I usually find a cute decorated box and then I make a label to put on top that says Diva Dream Box.

Get as creative as you would like to make your box unique and special to you. When you’re finished decorating we are going to start depositing your goals and dreams into the box. The way the box works will be up to you. You can either write down your goals and dreams, or you can find pictures that represent those goals and dreams. If you choose to write them down, you can be a little creative with that too.

You can find cute paper to write down everything or use good old –fashioned paper, both will work great. If you’re more of a visual person, it can be a lot of fun to collect pictures of those things that you would like to have and deposit them into your box. If you’re feeling really creative, you can do a combination of both writing and pictures. When I find great pictures I use them, but I don’t wait to deposit into my box if I can’t find any pictures. The key is to deposit as many goals and dreams into your box and continue depositing each time you decide on a new goal or dream. The sky is the limit here. Whatever you dream for yourself is possible if you believe it is.

Once you start depositing into your Diva Dream Box, I want you to put the box in a place that’s easy to find. Don’t put your box under the bed and forget about it. I want you to take time maybe at the end of the week to look at everything you’ve deposited that week. Take a little time to look at everything and think about each one for a few moments. I want you to get in the habit of thinking about all of your goals and dreams as much as you can. The more you believe in them and think about them, the stronger your vibration is and that vibration is sent out to the universe. During the week you have your little index cards with goals and dreams that are handy to carry in your purse and you can also use them to quickly add new goals and dreams which can later be added to your Diva Dream Box. The goal is to get in the habit of deciding what you want for yourself by writing it down and or adding pictures to represent all of your goals and dreams.

The next goal is to make time each day to look at your pictures and what you’ve written so your subconscious mind can start working on making those dreams a reality for you. By setting your intention for those goals and dreams and believing they are possible for you, sets the stage for the universe to start working on bringing these into your life. Another important part of this process is to expect and believe in your goals and dreams. They will happen for you. When you believe in yourself, the universe believes in you and the law of attraction will bring to you what your heart desires.

The next thing to do is to take a look at what you have written and we can begin to organize them and get a bit more descriptive with everything. You can organize them in many different ways. You can make a section for career, health, family, home, relationships, etc. Whatever way you feel comfortable with is a good start. The next thing to do is to get real descriptive with what you want. If you are dreaming of a new car, then you should write down all of the features you would like to have with this car. You can write the color, type, and anything else you can think of. The more details you put down, the better it is.

The idea is to get as many details down as we can so that there is no confusion as to what you would like to have. We want the universe to know all of the details so that you are attracting the right thing. When writing down everything you are setting out your intention and letting the universe know what it is that you desire. You can do this with all of your goals and the more details, the better it is. If you want to attract a man you can’t write down that you want a man. You need to be as specific as you can. You can write every last detail down about that man you want in your life so the universe can start working to bring you what you want.

The same goes with everything you write down. The key is really getting all of the details down about each and everything. Another good thing to do is to write dates down for these goals and dreams. Writing down a date that you would like to have these things also gives a time frame. If you were to just write that you want a new car and no date, then that car might take years to come to you. Each of your goals will also have many different time frames and the more goals you have the better it is, because then you will have things happening all the time. Some things may happen soon and others may take some time.

A few months ago I found a great little tool to use for writing down your goals and it is really cheap. In the office section of Wal-Mart they have these cute little index books that are great for writing down your goals. They are small enough to carry with you in your purse and you can also tear the cards off and stick them up to look at everyday. You can use one for short term weekly goals and maybe another book for long term goals, or you could use a different one for each thing you are working on such as home, relationships, work, and anything else you need. Whatever you feel comfortable doing and whatever works for you. If you don’t want to use index cards there are many other options that you can use. They key is to write it down and get the ball rolling.

The next thing to do after you have written down everything is to make some time each day to look at what you have written. We want everything to be fresh in your mind and reading it a few times a day sets the stage for everything. By writing everything down, you have set your intention and we want you intentions to start manifesting for you. Another thing I read in a book years ago about goal setting is at the end of each goal you can end it by writing or something better. That also lets the universe know that you are open to something better for yourself and maybe it’s something even greater then what you imagined for yourself.

DIVINE INSPIRED VIVACIOUS AMAZING WOMAN! I know it’s not the traditional definition for the word, but here at Divine Diva Delights, we are all DIVA’S. I believe as women we get so busy in our day to day activities that we forget about all of the amazing qualities we each have. We wear many hats each day and at any given moment we are a mother, wife, sister, grandmother, employee, and the list is endless.

I believe as women we are so much more then what we give ourselves credit for. I believe we all have amazing gifts and talents and it’s our job to discover them and share them with the world. We all have hopes, goals, and dreams and I think it’s time to start remembering that. Even though we may have pushed those things aside and put them on the back burner, it’s never too late to build your field of dreams.

I know you still remember the dreams you once had for yourself. They hold a tiny place in your heart that calls out to you every now and then. There are also some of you who may have never taken the time to even think about yourself and your dreams. Maybe nobody encouraged you or told you that you can build the life you’ve always dreamed of. It doesn’t matter what your story is, it’s never too late for dreams.

I know there is also a four letter word that stops many of you from even thinking about your dreams. FEAR! One tiny word that has stopped many of you before you even get started. Fear of failure, fear of not being smart enough, fear of the unknown. Do any of those ring a bell? The good news is you don’t have to let fear hold you back from your dreams. Even if you don’t have anyone to believe in you and your dreams, you can still achieve them and so much more. I believe in you, and if you can start to believe in yourself, anything is possible.

YOU ARE ENOUGH! You have the power to have the life of your dreams. There have been many women who have walked the path before us and the women who had the courage to reach for their dreams changed the world and touched many lives along the way.

Now if I’ve inspired you to think about what your dreams are, I’ve achieved my goal for the day. I want you to take a little time for yourself and sit down and picture what your dream looks like and start writing down everything that comes to your mind. Do it quickly and don’t worry about what your writing looks like. Don’t sensor yourself or think about what might prevent you from achieving these goals and dreams. Remember, there is nothing to stop you from building your field of dreams and you have the power within you to do this. The first step is writing everything down and that will get the ball rolling. Putting it down in writing sends the message out to the universe that you mean business.
